This Small Elegant Hotel is a B&B in a historic monument named “Hôtel Verhaegen”
The XViiith century mansion of Count and Countess Dhane-Steenhuyse, is the smallest aristocratic house of the city and one of the last to still be in private property.
It is remarkable due to the exceptional good preservation of the original and authentic details, and its rich decors. Chinese salon, murals by P. N. van Reysschoot, elaborately guilt paneling and ceilings, historic garden etc..
It is the home of interior designers Marc Vergauwe & Jan Rosseel who restored and furnished it with a mix of antiques and contemporary art.
